At The Artist’s Print Room, we offer professional fine art digital giclée printing services, high quality digital photography, digital retouching, colour correction/matching, and archival pigment printing (known as giclee printing) for fine art reproduction, ensuring you get the best out of your images.
The Artist’s Print Room is the only UK based fine art print studio to be certified by the three most prominent paper manufacturers in the industry; Hahnemühle, Canson Infinity and Epson Digigraphie. These three accreditations prove our outstanding quality and enables us to stay at the forefront of new printing technologies and bring you the newest and highest-quality papers. In addition to this, we stock the widest variety of Hahnemühle FineArt papers in comparison to any other fine art giclée printer in the UK. With these certifications you can be assured that time and time again you are receiving the highest quality work and we understand the importance of your requirements, whatever they may be!
We are a ‘true artist’s giclée printer’, therefore we truly appreciate and understand that your prints must be accurate in reproducing the fine hues and subtle details of your original work. We specialise in high quality substrates and exceptional giclée printing, regardless of your order quantity, everything is produced to an exceptional standard.
Specialising in the photography of art for galleries, museums, artists, collections and collectors, The Artist’s Print Room is a one-man, quality driven fine art giclée printing studio. We are based in the rural countryside near the market town of Bridgnorth & run by me, Mark Parry. Originally set up to support my artist wife’s fine art reproductions, web design and online marketing, The Artist’s Print Room has reached out to help support others, in their goal to become self-supporting artists in their own right and to achieve fine art print sales around the world.
Mark has been self-employed since 1995, previously as a mechanical fault diagnostic engineer, employing 12 engineers. In 2006 it was time for a change and Mark decided to leave engineering far behind. From a young child, Mark had a passion for photography, but Mark’s father said, “photography was never a career choice”. Further down the line though, a chance encounter with a TV chef, got Mark involved in a food photography project, photographing amazing food and drink for restaurants and hotels.
In 2012, Mark’s artist wife Helen, had experienced every kind of hell in her pursuit of trying to find a great giclée printing company. On returning from a photoshoot in London, Mark arrived home to find a new state of the art, commercial giclée printer, installed in his dining room – which was a bit of a surprise! Helen said, “I’ve had enough, I’m going to print my own work, after all, it can’t be any worse than what is already out there”.
Being a food photographer, meant Mark already understood colour, colour matching was something that he was working on, on a daily basis and saw the most perfect opportunity here. Thanks to Mark’s great understanding of working colourspace, pixel density, hue, saturation, shadows and highlights, he was able to apply his engineering knowledge to designing and building a new colour management suite, additionally designing a new bespoke ‘photoshop’ driven computer system. Mark loves a good challenge and he also re-wrote the firmware for his camera, tailoring it specifically for fine art capture. With incredibly (some may say crazy!) high standards, he is also quite the perfectionist and doesn’t believe in ‘can’t’ or impossibilities – only solutions! Mark’s motto throughout his working life has been;
‘Nothing is impossible; impossibilities are for others’
Further to the above, Helen also asked Mark to start managing her watercolour portfolio, promoting and getting her work into galleries, competitions as well as organising framers and liaising with buyers. In December 2014, The Artist’s Print Room was officially launched to other artists, illustrators, photographers and galleries. The rest, as they say is history….
‘Mark is the most super helpful top bloke!! Made my daunting task a breeze! Absolutely made up with the print. Delivery, packaging and instructions are brilliant, and l will defo be back for more! Thanks again Mark.’
‘Mark is really helpful and great to work with, generously sharing advice and experience. I am really pleased with the quality of the print I just picked up and will definitely be returning.’
