Expanding our range of Fine Art Giclee papers
We have introduced two new papers, what I would call ‘Entry Level’ papers into our range. Made by Fotospeed they are a economic alternative to our premium Hahnemuhle , Canson and St Cuthberts Mill range. Whilst they do have a lightfastness of over 75-years, they are medium – high in Optical Brightening Agents (OBA’s) a chemical compound that absorbs fluorescent light and emits blue light, making the whites appear whiter. However at 30% less than our premium Hahnemuhle papers, they are a great choice for students through to serious amateurs.
Fotospeed Photo Smooth Pearl 290gsm
This is a lovely natural white smooth paper with a beautiful sheen. It’s great at lifting an image from the paper while retaining an even sheen across the whole image. It works well with colour and black and white.
This is a very popular and reliable paper for photographers.
Fotospeed Platinum Etching 285gsm
This is a 100% acid free Fine Art paper with a velvety textured surface. The paper has a natural white base of 25% cotton and 75% alpha-cellulose and used with our pigment inks your Giclee print life is more than 85 years.
This is a recent addition to the market and is a great paper for photographers and artists.
