Be Aware
  • You will be judged on your digital image file. So make sure you have a quality digital image file, that matches the original work. The image should ONLY be of your artwork, not the frame or anything surrounding your art.
  • Also make sure you supply a JPEG file under 5MB.
  • Your portrait doesn’t have to be large. There are many small portraits that have been selected for previous years.
  • The chosen theme for the 2022 RP Award is ‘Self-Portrait’.
  • Make sure you take plenty of time to complete your registration form.
  • Be aware the delivery and collection dates are the ONLY days you can deliver and collect works.
  • When you workout a price for your work, remember to add in the gallery commission charge of 45%+VAT.

For Example:
Artwork selling price of £500

45% Commission of £500 is £225
20% VAT on Commission is £45

Total Gallery Commission is £270 (£225 + £45)

Selling price £500 less Commission leaves £230, this is the money you receive from the sale.

Please check out ‘Should you enter Art Competitions’ for information on pros and cons of art competitions.
